This is the cheapest Samsung QLED TV deal we've found this Black Friday

by David Stewart

As part of Currys PC World's ongoing Black Friday sales, you can currently get the 43in Samsung Q60T TV for its lowest-ever price.

The 4K HDR QLED TV has an RRP of £799 but is on sale via Currys for £499 (previously £599). The lowest we’ve seen this TV for in recent months has been £515 and other retailers have it priced at around £549 so you’re saving £300 on its retail price and at least £50 on rival prices and offers.

The Q60T was already the most affordable of Samsung’s 4K HDR QLED TVs in 2020 making this deal a great bargain. Especially if you’re in the market for a QLED TV.

QLED TVs use an LED-lit LCD panel with a layer of microscopic quantum dots. These quantum dots emit colour in reaction to light, boosting the brightness of the display well beyond what a standard LCD TV can achieve.

Other features of this TV include support for various HDR formats – HDR10, HDR10+, and Hybrid-Log Gamma – which each help to boost the detail and brightness of whatever it is you’re watching. The format depends on the content.

The Q60T runs Samsung Tizen OS 5.5 and comes with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Now TV, Disney Plus, BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, My5, YouTube apps all as standard. You do need to pay for the separate, individual subscriptions though.

Elsewhere, you can control the TV thanks to built-in support for Samsung Bixby, Google Assistant, and Amazon Alexa.

The Q60T is also available in six other sizes: 43in, 50in, 55in, 58in, 65in, 75in and 85in.

As our writer, Tom Bruce writes in his Samsung Q60T QLED TV guide: "Samsung’s range of 2020 TVs spans everything from entry-level 4K models to top-tier 8K flagships. No matter how big or small your budget is, there’s a TV that will fit the bill.

If, however, you’re focused on the more affordable end of the scale, then we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung's Q60T has grabbed your attention. As the most affordable of Samsung’s 4K TVs in 2020 with a QLED – or quantum dot – panel, this is a tempting big-brand 4K upgrade at a reasonable price."
