Amazon Music Unlimited gives you unlimited access to your music, without ads, and lets you listen offline. It usually costs £9.99 a month, or £7.99 for Prime members.

As you'd expect, the Echo Dot is powered by Amazon's Alexa voice assistant, which means it also comes with the full range of Alexa Skills.

You can use it to check news headlines, ask about the weather, play music and even make phone calls if you're on EE and Vodafone, as well as literally thousands of other tasks.

It can also be used to control connected smart home devices, and paired with other Echo devices to create a surround system.
